My family is probably too Conservative for their own good.

On election night we were up till almost midnight watching the coverage on Fox News. The only thing that kept us awake was massive overloads of caffeine. Oh, and the adrenaline rush from seeing so many Tea Party candidates elected helped too.

I know there were a lot of folks watching the news that night (especially Fox, who practically annihilated the other news channels). Who wouldn't want to watch as history unfolds? Because that is exactly what happened on Election Night 2010. The people spoke out and the establishment in Congress certainly felt the power of that voice. And while this administration may still be in denial, the message was loud and clear: Don't tread on the American People!

Something's Fishy in Washington

"If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to..."

With these words, the White House is now asking fellow Americans to turn others in for using their right to free speech. It reminds me of Germany during the time of WWII, when kids were told to turn in their own parents for speaking against the Nazis.

This is atrocious. The government is trying to scare us into backing down and not fighting against the health care bill, because we are afraid of an unknown consequence.

Please don't let this stop you from speaking out. The government will never be able to crush our American spirit.

Radio appearance

Well, today was a cool day. At 4 pm I was on a local talk radio show promoting the new website. We are hoping to add a copy of the recording onto the website soon. (Gotta figure out how to do that...)
I'm not expecting anything really big from this, but being on the radio was a real blast. (I even got to wear cool headphones.) 4 people called in. The hosts weren't expecting that and were very surprised. They asked some great questions and even pinned me down a couple of times.
There was a photographer from the local paper there and a writer interviewed me for an article last week. We can't wait to see it and hope it has good feedback.

Why we started this!

I decided to do this because I was fed up with not having a voice as a kid. I felt targeted with all the Go Green mania as if people were trying to frighten me into radically changing my way of life to "save the planet."

I was also shocked to learn that I was already in debt when I don't even have an income to be taxed! This is taxation without representation.

I couldn't keep silent any more. I want to do something to change America. So I thought, "What if other kids felt this way too? What if there was a way to unite them in this common purpose?"

So now here is a place we can speak out and unite.
